3M Delivers 2Q 2017 Sales of $7.8 Billion

3M reported second-quarter 2017 earnings of $2.58 per share, an increase of 24.0% versus the second quarter of 2016. Sales were $7.8 billion, up 1.9% year-on-year in dollar terms.   Operating income was $2.2 billion and operating income margin for the quarter was 28.0%, up 3.6% year-on-year.
